Softears VolumeS is finally here as a successor to the highly-acclaimed Softears Volume. With proficient engineering, Softears has carefully upgraded the Volume from the ground up with an entirely new design and an entirely new driver configuration. The pair packs a dual Dynamic Driver and Dual Balanced Armature driver setup on each side. Softears VolumeS houses a 10mm silicone diaphragm dynamic driver with a 6mm wool paper diaphragm passive dynamic driver and dual BA drivers. The pair has dual operating modes easily switchable using a Japanese Copal switch. Referred to as Classical and POP tuning modes, the pair is designed with a low-impedance and high-impedance design mode. In the POP mode, the pair simulates a standard HRTF curve delivering quality resolution and details. The other mode simulates a HiFi audio system with a comfortable and natural listening experience making it perfect for Classical music. The Softears Enigma is a tribrid multi-driver IEM equipped with dual dynamic drivers, six custom-balanced armature drivers, and four Sonion electrostatic drivers.

For the lows, the Enigma uses a mix of an active 10mm wool-made biological diaphragm dynamic driver with 2 additional BA drivers to produce a mix of power and speed.

There is also a second beryllium-coated diaphragm dynamic driver deployed in a passive mode to absorb unwanted vibrations and standing waves.

The midrange frequencies are handled by four full-range custom-balanced armature drivers and for the highs, the Enigma uses four third-generation Sonion electrostatic drivers.

The drivers are organized using a combination of a 5-way electronic crossover and a 4-way physical crossover.

The crossover circuit is an upgraded version of the RS10. This hybrid approach enhances frequency distribution precision and flattens the impedance response, resulting in a more detailed and consistent sound signature.
